We recently joined the Xero accounting software partnership program and yesterday Steve (our managing partner) took, and passed, the certification exam (100% pass rate, clever boy). As a result we are now able to run Xero software as a practice and can manage client accounts directly and with the full backing of the Xero organisation.
Xero is a global online accounting platform who provides accounting solutions tailored for start ups, SME’s up to large organisations. The cloud based technology allows users to prepare accounts from anywhere in the world and also has partnerships with a number of third party vendors.
These third party vendors provide solutions for expense claims and payroll to name just a couple. We will be looking at new software solutions to improve efficiency over the coming months and will be rolling out a number of new features to clients during the final quarter of 2016.
Attaining Xero certified adviser status ensures existing and new clients can be assured that they are handing their accounts set up and processing over to experts.
It is our intention to also achieve Quickbooks certification during 2016 and to ensure more of our professionals also achieve certified adviser status for all the accounting software we utilise.
We have already migrated three clients from desktop based accounting software programs with fantastic results and client excellent feedback. As part of our new strategy we will be looking to migrate all existing clients to cloud based accounting software. This will allow us to provide cost effective Virtual FD services to UAE based SME’s who would otherwise find it prohibitive to employ a full-time FD.
This move towards cloud based accounting technologies and accounting automation is also in line with the Dubai Government’s Smart City project which we fully support.
